These pages contain some handy extras to compliment the great range of products that are available from SANDPIPER, specifically based on books.
Oracy Chatter provides some additional information and ideas for using the oracy programs in classrooms and in the clinic setting. Much of the information is based on workshop presentations for the oracy programs. There is also some information around frequently asked questions, that might provide some direction if you are running the oracy programs in your school.
Hot Goss offers information that teachers and clinicians might find helpful in thinking about oral language. Articles on current literature in the field have been written as well as personal clinical observations based on thirty years of experience.
Downloads has a range of extra resources and handouts that can be downloaded. For example: the resource – Talking about books is no longer available, however the ‘Talk about’ ideas for a number of books have been offered as free downloads through this section. The 'Talk about' tips provide outlines of various books, and will generate heaps of conversation – ideal for parents!
