This is an early learner alphabet dictionary, which focuses on letters, sounds and the letter-sound association.

Children are taken systematically and consistently through the early literacy concepts: The letter is ... ; The sound is .... This is supported with additional strategies: hooks to remember the letter/sound, some of the ways to write the sound, and how the sound is made. Space is allowed for children to draw pictures on the page, glue in pictures from magazines, or write in their own words to make each Dictionary a personalised reference.
